About
Cheanuh Marina has been around since the 1970s and many of our guests have been spending their summers here for over 40 years.
This is a small marina where it is possible to charter boats and yachts for fishing, sailing, and other water sports. Blue Horizon Charters are one of the companies that charter boats from Cheanuh Marina.
Meet The Marina Team:
Gord Vickers
Marina Manager
As the Marina Manager, Gord Vickers ensures the marina is fully operational. He sees that everything is well-maintained, all customers have a spot, staff are scheduled, and the inventory stays stocked to provide customers with everything needed for a day out on the water.
Gord brings extensive management experience to his current role. He has worked in various businesses and industries, including an art gallery, the sport fishing industry, and marine sales and parts. His favourite part of the job is working with people and making them feel like they matter.
In his spare time, Gord loves to fish. He goes fly-fishing for trout, fly-fishing for salmon, and river fishing.

Angel, originally from Seattle, Washington, was a daycare teacher for one-and two-year-olds before working with Beecher Bay. She’s been with the marina for three years now and loves how close-knit the community is.
During her free time, Angel loves to read, and record for her podcast, Angel Rambles.

Traci-Lynn Pateman
BOD
Traci Pateman is serving her second term as an Elected Band Councilor. As band councillor, she helps create policies and guidelines for the community and makes sure that its day-to-day business runs smoothly as leaders work towards economic development. She also serves as lands assistant, working closely with the lands manager in tasks like policy creation and permit issuance.
Traci takes pride in her previous management experience, which has helped her perform her current council duties well. Today, Traci’s favourite part of the job is simply being able to serve her nation and having the chance to leave a legacy through the work she does.
During her spare time, Traci does a lot of cooking. She also loves doing art. But hanging out with her three kids always tops the list.
