Meet The Team:

Angie Wilkinson

Community Health Nurse

Angie Wilkinson serves as the community health nurse. Employed through the FNHA she was contracted to SC’IȺNEW and liaisons between the hospital and the community members. She organizes medical equipment, administers vaccines, does wound care, provides primary care, shares health information, and does baseline maternal care and home mobility care. Angie also performs preliminary tasks like doing pregnancy tests and connecting mothers-to-be with a midwife or OBGYN, doing HIV testing and HPV screening, and handing out naloxone kits.

Angie’s goal is to bridge the gap among community members, help them confidently ask about their health, and make them feel like they are in a trustworthy environment. She wants to help eliminate barriers so they can feel safe while they receive health care.

In addition to being a registered nurse, Angie has certificates in public health, harm reduction, HIV screening, Hepatitis C screening, and foot care.

When she’s not working, Angie gardens and goes hiking and camping.
