HELP SHAPE THE BEECHER BAY (SC’IȺNEW) CONSTITUTION

The current draft of the Constitution was developed by the SC’IȺNEW Constitution Committee between 2015 and 2025. Over the past decade, the availability of the Committee members has changed, and we are now inviting new representatives from the community to join and help guide the next steps of the draft. Committee members are meant to represent the broader community and should include elders, youth, different family representatives, members who live away from home, members who live at home, etc.

Meetings are held online, usually one weekday evening a month (5:45–8:00 pm). These are volunteer positions, with an honorarium provided to support participation.

“The meeting format is in the tradition of our people: respectful discussion
among community representatives.”
